Esther Perbandt at "Germany's Next Topmodel"
Being invited to participate in "Germany's Next Top Model" for a second time was an exhilarating experience for me. Two years ago, amidst the pandemic, I had the opportunity to design a collection for an episode centered around the Berlin vibe and techno, adding my unique touch to one of the elimination shows. Little did I know that fate would smile upon me once again, this time taking me to the vibrant city of Las Vegas, Nevada.
Armed with four heavy suitcases filled with my meticulously crafted designs, I embarked on a journey to be on location in a ghost town nestled in the heart of the Nevada desert. This time, my role was not only to dress the ten remaining models with my creations but also to join the esteemed jury panel, standing alongside Heidi Klum and the Czech supermodel Karolina Kurkova. It was a real honor to meet her.
Watching my garments come to life as they gracefully strutted down a vast asphalt street in the midst of the desert was a great moment. The contrast between the vast, barren landscape and the elegance of my black creations created a visually stunning spectacle.
Being part of Germany's Next Top Model for the second time was a remarkable journey filled with excitement, nerves, and a sense of gratitude. Seeing my creations come to life on such a grand stage was a testament to my passion and dedication as a designer.
